CHAPTER SEVEN
Anton gripped his katana with both hands. He went to swing his sword to decapitate his foe, but the manâs gloved hand launched forward. It clutched him by the neck so hard that it caused his eyes to water and he gagged. Slowly, the man lifted off his feet and his legs dangled. Anton dropped his katana and grabbed the man by the hand he was clutching him with. He tried to pry his fingers from around his neck as he choked, but the son of a bitch had an iron-grip on him. Before he knew it, Anton was being flung across the room. He slammed into the wall, denting a hole in it and tilting a large antique mirror that was hanging nearby.
Before Anton could mount a defense he was being picked up again by his neck and flung across the room. Again, he slammed into the wall and made a dent in it. He landed on his hands and knees. Panting and dizzy, he looked up to see his foe strolling in his direction with his katana by his side. Antonâs vision was blurry and he saw two images of the hooded man. Thatâs when he bowed his head and squeezed his eyelids shut. Shaking his head, Anton looked back up and peeled his eyelids back open. He didnât see double anymore and his vision had returned to normal.
Looking ahead, Anton saw the katana heâd dropped while the stranger was clutching him at his neck, high off the floor. He knew heâd have to get his hands on it if he was going to stand a chance against him. Acknowledging this, Anton scrambled to his feet as fast as he could and charged forward. Nearing the katana, he dove to the carpet, tucking and rolling. Rolling in motion, he grabbed the sword and came up on his bending knee. Springing to his feet, he swung his sword upwards in an effort to chop off his opponentâs head. The stranger ducked the swing of Antonâs sword and thrust his katana, driving it through his torso. Antonâs eyes bulged and his mouth quivered. He released his katana and it fell to the floor. Anton wanted to know who it was behind the mask so he snatched it out. As soon as he did confusion crossed his face. He couldnât believe the person staring back at him.
âYâYouâI thought youâyou wereâArrrrrrr!â Anton squeezed his eyelids shut and threw his head back, screaming at the top of his lungs. His mouth was open so wide you could see all of the teeth in his mouth as well as his uvula. The stranger had lifted him high off the floor with his sword, causing him to slide further down his blade. The blood from Antonâs wound expanded on his shirt and ran down the strangerâs katana. The blade of the sword was now coated in blood and dripping on the carpet.
âFuck you, fuck you in yoâ mothafucking ass bitch!â Anton spat with hatred, staring down into his killaâs merciless eyes.
